Behind Steady Skill 3 min read

How we decided on pricing

What our research showed, why we chose an approachable starting price, and what your coaching hour includes.

Learning AI should feel within reach. When we set Steady Skill AI’s prices, we wanted to make room for a real conversation, useful practice, and questions you might hesitate to ask in a room full of people.

We reviewed published coaching, workshop, and course prices on October 28, 2026, then rechecked the examples below on October 29. Some private coaching offers cost twice our business rate or more than three times our personal rate. Here’s what that comparison means, and why we chose a different starting point.

A closer look at the numbers

Our regular one-hour rates are $75 for personal coaching and $125 for business coaching. These selected providers helped us understand the range of paid options:

  • Empowerment AI publishes $250 USD for a live, one-to-one 60-minute session. That is twice our regular business rate and about 3.3 times our personal rate. Its three-hour package is $675 USD.
  • Zaigo Coaching publishes $1,000 USD for a two-hour executive Deep Dive, equivalent to $500 per coaching hour. That is a premium executive offer with a different audience and scope, rather than a direct match for a beginner’s first session.
  • James Hayes Consulting publishes £195 for two hours of one-to-one coaching in the UK. We kept that price in pounds; a different currency and market make a simple dollar comparison misleading.

The format matters as much as the price

These are examples from a small desk-research sample, not a market average or a claim that every coach charges more. Providers bring different experience, preparation, support, and specialties. Their published prices can also change.

There are lower-cost ways to learn, too. Google AI Essentials lists $49 USD per month in the US and Canada after a seven-day trial. It is self-paced learning, rather than a dedicated hour with a person working through your own questions. Our research also found free classes and group learning options. Those can be useful starting points.

Why we chose $75 and $125

We wanted a manageable first step for someone who is curious about AI, feels stuck, or has one task they’d like to make easier. Our pricing is a choice about accessibility and the kind of coaching we want to offer.

Both paths include one-to-one guidance by video call, a full 60-minute coaching session, and a separate 15-minute welcome call. Personal coaching starts with your everyday life or interests. Business coaching focuses on a process in your work and the setup needed to improve it.

The value is time spent practicing with patient help: trying a task, improving the answer, checking the result, and understanding how to do it again. A useful skill you can keep using matters more to us than a long feature list.

Why three sessions save 10%

One session can give you a useful place to begin. Three leave room to practice between calls, bring back questions, and build on what you’ve tried. That is why we offer 10% off personal and business coaching when you purchase three sessions upfront.

At our regular rates, three personal sessions total $202.50 instead of $225. Three business sessions total $337.50 instead of $375. You can still choose a single session. Team workshops are scoped and quoted separately.

Our research informed these choices; it doesn’t establish what every learner needs or guarantee an outcome after three calls. Follow the coaching link below for current prices and the option that fits your next step.
